Principal’s Message
The Pharmacy Profession is undergoing rapid change for the past 50 years in India. From a Production and Quality Control Chemist earlier, the Pharmacist is today emerging as a Health Care Professional, being involved not only in the safe and efficacious manufacture of drugs and pharmaceuticals but also in newer profiles demanding their discovery, development, clinical research, and community services too. Simultaneously, a need for high-quality standards of drugs and pharmaceuticals comes from the emergence of resistant infections, newer disease conditions, and a deeper knowledge of biological and immunological processes. The increased competition to deliver such measures has resulted in fast-developing technologies too, that have revolutionized the Pharmacy profession with a large socio-economic relevance to the Indian economy. The need of the hour is then additional trained and skilled manpower now. With this objective, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences started in 2016, under Motherhood University, Roorkee (Uttarakhand) as one of the premier teaching and research unit.
The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences offers D.Pharmacy, B.Pharmacy, M.Pharmacy (Pharmacology), & Ph.D. programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The students are trained in various aspects of pharmaceutical knowledge both theoretical and practical and then they emerge as professionals in the field of pharmacy. We believe not only in academic excellence but also in the overall development of our student-pharmacist. With high moral values, our students blend professionalism and a sense of social responsibility so as to be recognized as dutiful citizens of the country.

Students do learn in traditional lecture halls, but classrooms even exist outdoors for some programs. Learning by doing means that classrooms simulate professional environments.
